I recently had a meeting with Jon Smith the new chairman of the British Taekwon do, that's the group that represents the WTF and the Olympic arm of tae kwon do in the UK. He expressed a desire for them to work together with the BTC, but the BTC declined this offer, however I had a second meeting with him and suggested that we hold a competition between the two groups, where we would fight 1 x 3 minute round WTF rules and a second 3 minute round TI rules and he said that he would like to do that, so I now have to write to all 14 member associations within the BTC and see if they will put their fighters into a BTC selection event to then go forward and represent the BTC again BT. If this comes off it will be a ground breaking event. I have already said that the TAGB will take part with men and ladies and I am sure we would be well represented in this historic championships.
