I missed my blog last week as I was too busy, but the week before I was at a TOL meeting (tae kwon do organisation ltd) in Manchester, this is the funding arm of the British tae kwon do council. The meeting was discuss a new campaign that the sports council and large city & town councils want to launch to get women between the ages of 18-25 to get involved in tae kwon do. It will be called 'touch gloves' and will be funded by the councils and the sports council, it will involved a BTC ladies demonstration team performing a couple of demonstrations a day in town and city centres around the UK, with local instructors signing up interested females. They hope to launch this is Jan/Feb next year, once all the logo's, advertising, doboks and t-shirts are ready.
The TAGB are also going to be involved with the promotional company TLC who we have worked with before in a campaign to offer trial sessions to male blue collar workers between the ages of 18-25, I will keep you informed on both these promotions.
I am glad to report there are now 120 people on the medieval banquet, should be a great knight! out, expense the punn.
This week-end is the black belt grading in Bristol, don't be late and good luck to all those taking part.
